Comments in reference to the character Vlad VanZorvich *Isle of Silk*: Thanks for rolling with the punches, and the connection issues. I really enjoyed how you portrayed the character, and now want to get you into some other, more traditional games even more. Would be BIG but Sonya edged you out. :)

Character Played: Grayden Ironbelly (Dwarf):
-------------------------Last session I did not much rp with Gray, Pol for a lot of reasons is seperate and isolated from the others (except for Mal who is sensative enough to work with her) and she really gets the hell out of dodge when others are bickering among themselves are with her, and goes off to think a lot, hence is not talking much to Gray these days either. But..but..she is listening very hard to what he says and what he says is smart thinking. Actually his remarks sent her off asking Vico about going North, and spurred her to ply the elf with questions. I was deeply grateful when gray stepped in to help with that--tis not a role or spot Pol is at all accustomed to and is very uneasy with. But none of the others was filling that role at the time. Aye tis a time to rp oneself and then to rp the situation, and Pol carries so little weight or regard in the group that she has a hard time getting rp'ing of the situation going. But feel that this is a natural spot for ye, cause of age/race/ and class. I also agree with ye I am starting to question that damned necklace and it's effect on the one who wears it. Keep us on track and task and ye will have me very strong backing. Thank ye for your help :) LRP

What can I say really? Grayden is about as fully developed as any PC I have ever encountered and Rizzen plays his role perfectly. Grayden's hesitation to go along with the party in their quest was quite refreshing.

Grayden displays such absolute confidence in himself that you can't help not trust his voice of experienced wisdom. He asks the tough questions that others hesitate to, reigns in the invisible leash that the party follows when it tugs and provides the devil's advocacy in the attempt to help the party perceive unforseen consequences of their actions. Grayden has only been with us for a few sessions but it feels like he's been with us the whole way and I can't imagine the rest of the campaign without him. :) -Belfus

I have to give you a 10 for problem solving shearly because you were the person who finally found that damnable SWAMP! lol
We wandered around for forty days and forty nights...or at least that's what it felt like eh? Grayden was ever the supportive, bonecrushing dwarf, and I'm still amazed at the tenacity he showed in attacking the wyvern. I would have retreated without question. The damned thing was rated impossible. lol
Good thing we had lots of healing kits and spells on hand....another great game, and I look forward to the next! :)

Character Played: Grayden Ironbelly (Dwarf):
-------------------------Well Grayden, are ye still a bit lost and confused. No doubt ye are even more so after Thursday night, LOL hard place to be, a fellow who has memory problems, well, think one and all were stunned and more than a little overwhelmed by the changes in Esirup and Pol, really. Despite Grayden's own problems he is a/dwarf b/paladin---both very grounding and grounding is a badly needed quality with this set of folks. Dynamics in a continuing campaign are such that it takes weeks and weeks of play to get to where this group of personalities is. And any new person eventually finds their fit in the scheme of it all. Ye entered at a time of flux and change within the group, and Esirup itself--what I see the beginnings of, is a solid dwarf, who has seen and learned much and who because he has can often be the source of reasonableness and great insight, hence someone the group turns to when totally befuddled. I saw the starts of that this week, especially with what in the world to do with Pol. Nay she's not evil even under influence of the ring, and ye had an amazing insight there, one which I rhink Mal used, have ye tried treating her like a child? Great call and to bad was overlooked,eh? :)LRP

Well played, Grayden. A stern but irreverant Dwarf to be sure. I'm curious to learn more about the difference that Grayden hinted about, how dwarven paladins differ from human or elvish ones. His willingness to harm Pol to protect the party was a surprise, but made for a great RP situation. A very believable char ;) (J)

Grayden is so matter-of-factly about life and is (thankfully) free of the emotional entanglements the rest of the party seem to be constantly snarled in. He's tough, honest and pushes forward even if the objective seems a little muddled; I sense he just works things out as they happen, confident that he'll accomplish positive results in the end...or bust up the negative ones if they happen. :) Very funny stuff washing his feet in Athena's fountain but at least he had the courtesay to give thanks to the goddess afterwards. Heh. Great job, Rizzen. -Belfus

No, I'm not handing out 10s because you're Rizzen. I was honestly impressed with what I saw last night in Grayden. He showed that's he's not just some old crusty dwarf, and that he's also a very competent leader...and believe me, Silver appreciates the support. Had to laugh out loud when Zug Zug started commenting on the shades of red you were turning. I'd like to offer some constructive criticism, but I'm hard pressed this time I think. You were a friend, a supporter, and a warrior. I couldn't have asked for more. It's a hard toss-up for BIG between you, Thrade, and Zug Zug, but I think you take it this night. You played your humble old dwarf to the bone. I think that Clangeddin is somewhere, with a big mug of potent dwarven spirits, telling proud tales of his disciple Grayden Ironbelly. :)

Well, I finally got to play with the fabled Rizzen. It was an honor and a pleasure my good sir dwarf. :)
Yes, you get straight 10s. No, it's not because your name is Rizzen. This was an exceptional group you put together, and everyone deserved every mark they got!
Your dwarf was certainly an interesting character, and I liked the bits about your old age showing through here and there. They made for a nice touch. :)
Kind of reminds me of Flint Fireforge, but less grouchy. And no kender. :P
He wields a mean axe, and though he's gruff, that stout dwarven heart showed through on more than one occasion, especially when we lost our comrades in that first battle-gone-foul. :)
I look forward to the next time we play! Thanks for having me. :)
Keep swinging that ringing dwarven steel!

Character Played: Grayden Ironbelly (Dwarf):
-------------------------Not your typical paladin, not your typical dwarf, (indeed not)-thank the gods. I love this PC he is a very touching fellow. RL I was surprised by Pol's reaction to him, as she was tender and overtly protective of him, and she is she is so busy keeping the walls up between herself and others, that she really is not overtly tender or protective of anyone. He has so many vulnerabilities of which he either unaware of, or cares not if he shows them, mayhap he draws that reaction from a PC who will not admit to any of hers under any circumstances, hence she is quick to proctect him from any "hurt". He fits in perfectly with this eccentric collection of personalities--so many things, the trolls in your drawers, the rehumatism, and necessity to drink "spirts", his slip into a bit of senility, his reactions to Spag, his "spryness" -hee get Pol samller armor, indeed, LOL--his "differntness" was sublty played, and his sense of humor a delight :) Really looking forward to future games, and giving that full white beard of his a yank or two. :) LRP

Grayden wasn't afraid to speak his mind, even a controversial opinion on slavery that raised a few eyebrows amongst former slaves.
