Comments in reference to the character Rahnee Roaringhorn a Human: Rahnee‘s departure to Waterdeep, at the behest of her wizard brother Madrigal, is hopefully only temporary - yet one never knows with family business. One observation I would like to make is that while Rahnee‘s presence and leadership will be missed, the best leaders always try to make themselves redundant by making the rest of the group strong. Rahnee‘s support for her companions and welcoming personality have played a large part in making the party what it is, positioning it for success. While they continue the adventure, as Jandrico said to the others, she will be missed. --Carlo
[Katarina Dragonstar's reply to comment: My thanks, Carlo. Rahnee is one of those characters who continues on, despite what I may think or do. She surprises me sometimes in what she does, but then again, great co-players can cause unexpected growth and change. ]

Rahnee Roaringhorn: A direct and perhaps ferocious warrior with a business-like approach to the situation. There are occasional hints at a caring side, but so far these seem far less important that getting the job done and of the group she seemed most disappointed outwardly at failure. Certainly the attitude of most of the group marks her as the one to please.

Others may be the brains or the brawn of the group, but Rahnee has cemented herself as the voice of the group and a big part of the group‘s conscience. She‘s an interesting character that remains interesting, even after years(!) of playing together. Rahnee can always be counted on to cool down a tense situation, juggle the various priorities of everybody in the group and hold it together with a smile. Rahnee has changed since the death of her husband and is gradually learning to be “OK“ again. The reaction to Brok-Tul‘s death was touching and not overdone a bit. A great character who‘s fun to play with after all this time.

Comments in reference to the character Rahnee Roaringhorn a Human: Rahnee‘s depth and subtlety continue to impress, as well as sometimes surprise. One example occurred this session, during which Rahnee broached the topic of assistance for the Veranbrok territory. It was done in a way perfectly consistent with a savvy adventurer that has extensive life experience in the nobility. Another PC expressed his appreciation at Rahnee‘s unexpectedly sophisticated handling of the situation. The fact that after around six years in the campaign the PC continues to be capable of surprises and twists says a lot about the sophistication of both the player and the character. --Carlo

Comments in reference to the character Icelin Saphfyre a Moon Elf: Icelin... Apparently has no sense of direction whatsoever? Oh boy, did I learn something new this session. Level headed in the face of overstuffed wizards, ranting allies, nosy civilians, and suspicious druids, but streets will confound her. Hur hur.
[Katarina Dragonstar's reply to comment: *chuckling* You are not the only player to have noticed the "lost lamb syndrome" in my characters. Do NOT EVER have a character of mine lead you ANYWHERE . . .unless you want the 3-hour tour. ]

Comments in reference to the character Rahnee Roaringhorn a Human: It‘s been some time since I commented on Rahnee. She has continued to evolve with each passing (real-life) year, yet at the same time has stayed true to her in-game background and personality. The death of Brok-Tul was the most impactful event on Rahnee‘s life and has been handled impressively, not always in the way one would expect, either. A PC this “old“ can sometimes stagnate, but no such thing has happened, as shown recently by her interactions with the party‘s new companions and with key NPCs such as her brother Madrigal. The Westgate Campaign is what it is in large part because of Rahnee and her muse KatDragon (or is it the other way around?) --Carlo

A great performance from Kat as Icelin did everything within her power to try and save the party from the vampire‘s influence. She fought the vampire and her own party members with both blade and words to try and break the effect. Her actions were always in character with Icelin‘s steely determination, with wonderful evocative use of emotes throughout.

It‘s good that Icelin has taken up the role of leader, which is something that the group has been lacking on a number of occasions.
There was some sparky conversation with the npcs when allegations of theft were levelled at the party. Some of those comments were real zingers that made me laugh out loud or wince. Ouch! Icelin‘s tongue can be as sharp as her blade at times.
A pleasure to play with as always.

Whilst Icelin is one of the newest additions to the party, she has firmly established herself as the most likely leader figure. Moving the group forward with purpose and being more of a spokesperson than anyone else. Icelin‘s flirtatious manner with the theatre director made me laugh out loud as it was a change from her usual persona.

Comments in reference to the character Desiree Starchilde a Human: I think you do a wonderful job constantly. Your character never acts OOC, and you are very talented at thinking outside the box. I like that Desiree is taking charge, I feel that she fits well in the female-leader spot. And the relationship with Cadyn is interesting to observe. I want to see deeper into the heart of the character though, now that the campaign is well under way. I have some ideas planned to help you with that. -- Anya

Comments in reference to the character Desiree Starchilde a Human: In the few sessions I‘ve played with Desiree, it‘s plain to see that she‘s not as reserved as most clerics tend to be, and yet she still manages to convincingly portray a faithful servant to her god. Comments in reference to the character Zabarra Suldusk a Elf: Zabarra is as unassuming an elf as a veiled elven wizard can get. She makes sure to differentiate herself from her companions by remaining calm, calculated and especially by employing Elven whenever she encounters anyone who might understand it. I truly see this character as her own entity, and that‘s a good testament to Kat‘s RPing skills - Anya

Comments in reference to the character Rahnee Roaringhorn a Human: Rahnee‘s speech sometimes shows that she speaks to “fill in the spaces“, a typical noble‘s chatter to prevent dire or deep thoughts from coming into the conversation... small dances with words which help taste the mood and acceptance of those around her. The rapier versus the cudgel, Rahnee‘s background seems to her feeling perhaps a bit... shallow? The subtler hints are there, a cultural slow slide, perhaps... or, a growth in character. Such questions define good characters, the types you want to come back to.

Comments in reference to the character Rahnee Roaringhorn a Human: Rahnee‘s developing plotline maintains its usual depth and background, giving life to a character who easily could be the “loot-scout-trap-lock“ girl. Comments in reference to the character Firestar a : And BOOM goes the dynamite! Excellent use of Fireball during the sea battles. As you get more and more comfortable with playing a wizard in NWN, it is clear that you are selecting and casting spells more strategically. Also, asking the party what spells they would like for you to prepare is a good idea. I hope they take advantage of it. Your RP w/ Sami was superb.

Ki‘Amalysro Therama: KatDragon is one of those truly delightful players, very versatile, creative and intelligent.
Ki‘Ama is the reticent leader of the group, as she should be. She willingly took on a great burden without knowing what it entailed and has not once shrunk back from that responsibility. She is the bridge of the group, connecting the original companions and the “new recruits“ like no other, creating deep bonds with all.
She has even managed to reach Syan in a way few - perhaps only one other - ever has. Good times. It will be interesting to see what unfolds.

Don‘t feel too bad about being spotted by the goblins and bringing about 250 goblins down on everybody. If it hadn‘t been ‘Star, it would‘ve been someone else... Comments in reference to the character Firestar a : Here‘s why I love running this game - The average player‘s movement rate gets reduced. He‘s not encumbered. He‘s not in “detect mode.“ He can‘t see any reason why his movement rate is slowed. What does he do? He goes OOC and says something like “Why am I slowed?“ or hops on the DM channel and says “Your mod is bugged, man. Get it fixed!“ What does Firestar do? She RPs an unknown ailment that‘s causing her to fall behind the rest. Then they try to help and heal her, and when nothing else works, she realizes it must‘ve had something to do with that spell the goblin cast, which was, in fact, Spike Growth and not Entangle. This is why she‘s in the top 5 for the Hall of Fame vote this month.

Comments in reference to the character Rahnee Roaringhorn a Human: Everything I said a year ago still applies, only more so. I have never seen a deeper or more real relationship in-game than that between Rahnee and Brok-Tul, which is made up of all the little things as well as some big, dramatic ones. Rahnee‘s adventures have continued to mature her, without stamping out her adventurous nature, and have brought her both a foundation of confidence and more insight into her own limitations. Katarina is also a joy to interact with OOC. The Roaringhorns could do no better. --Carlo

Comments in reference to the character Rahnee Roaringhorn a Human: Occasionally, one sees perfectly roleplayed moments. Sometimes they are grand and the result of momentous events. In this case, it was a simple one: Rahnee turning to see who was at the door and calling out for Brok-Tul, when OOC the player knew it was Aerikoth. A brief touch that brings home how involved the characters are with each other and what they truly want. Subsequent conversation with Aerikoth was also very well done, of course. ;) --Carlo

Comments in reference to the character Rahnee Roaringhorn a Human: Rahnee‘ gives us our plot-hooks more often than any other character. Our group‘s “face“ nine times out of ten, she ends up taking a lot of stress that for some reason few of our group are willing or able to handle in social situations. To compensate, we lavish her with attention and praise. Or should. At least once. I‘ll make a note.
Without Rahnee‘, this story would be far more chaotic: she gives order to our rather bizarre crew. More and more history of her family comes forth, and we saw new aspects of her honor this past session. She‘s fun in our game, and I‘m grateful we have her with us.

Comments in reference to the character Rahnee Roaringhorn a Human: Every session, Rahnee has deepened as a character in multiple ways, yet without moving away from the entertainingly swashbuckling adventuress she is. She responds believably to external events and shows the kinds of frustrations and joys that one would expect from such a lively personality. The Thalavar/Fire Knife arc tested her more than she thought it would, I believe, and her adventurous attitude seems tempered a little by experience. Although there are many examples of Rahnee‘s uniqueness, the relationship she has been establishing with Brok-Tul - friend, protector, and more - has defined her inner progress and shaped her personality. The story is far from complete and she has much to draw on as it is written, both in Westgate and in Waterdeep. --Carlo

Comments in reference to the character Rahnee Roaringhorn a Human: Rahnee is definately a great actress. Great job with Istvan from the introductions to acting helpless when the enforcers arrived. Another thing I noticed was when she said she didn‘t want to kill Istvan. Perhaps she only said that because that would really not help the group get closer to our goals, but somehow I felt a hint of goodness in her words. Until now I had seen her more as ‘I‘ll do whatever it takes to get the job done‘. Great stuff!

Comments in reference to the character Rahnee Roaringhorn a Human: Rahnee gets more interesting every session. Leading the party most of the time, she‘s wise enough to step aside when there is need. Unlike Brok-tul and Aerikoth, Rahnee seemed like she didn‘t dislike Jamal so much, to my surprise. Her uncontrollable thirst for tea a couple sessions ago was very amusing, as is her personality most of the time. These little subtleties make this character even more unique. Comments in reference to the character Rahnee Roaringhorn a Human: Rahnee‘ is showing more development as well as a willingness to follow a comrade‘s lead. Her very amusing subtle irritation at my character in the inn when trying to negotiate notoriety for a new business was very well done. Though I wasn‘t in best form this past session, Rahnee‘ is showing more detail all the time. Our misadventures are assumingly highly amusing to our patient, beleagured DM_Carlo. Rahnee‘ maintains being a focal character without being overbearing, a nice change from my own overblown style.
