Currently, I'm not doing anything. I'm lurking on the forums, no real plans regarding, well, anything NWN-related. It's not that I don't care. I'm just not very motivated. Playing's fun, DM-ing's fun, building's...ummm...eventually rewarding when you get to running a campaign arc. But, no plans at the moment. I'm just enjoying the friendships I've formed.
After being here since October 2002, I've met many players and DMs, and while I have my Top 5 DM list, I will hear list my personal "Top 5 Players" in alphabetical order:
Conor Knoxx: His characters are so much fun, it's hard not to smile when you know you'll be in a game with him.
Eugenides: Incredibly witty with a sense of style, his characters' remarks are always on target.
J'Dai Voisin: Only person I've ever seen to treat emotions as mental states instead of fleeting moments without being overdramatic; her character thus seem more realistic than any others.
jeffn516: This guy may be the best RPer I've seen. His characters are rich, profound, and convincing. He pays attention to his setting and details, and it pays off in this incredible player.
Redjack: Only convincing druid I've ever seen, a strong leader, and able to adapt himself to the situation.
Honorable Mentions: AlexanderFrost, Arkangyl, BillPullman, Boomer, Carlo One, ChrisGardiner, Jack, jdon7, PaigeFrost, PoeticColossus, Rayburn, Shinji, Thayne Tiempko
Please leave comments if you rate me (as either DM or player). The checkboxes simply aren't as useful in telling me where I need to improve and what I've done well, especially since they're in aggregate form. How can I understand the problems I'm having if the people who are best positioned to notice them don't give me any clues? I need the explanation that the boxes lack.
I think that the idea of any game is to have fun, and I think that as my skills grow, I can contribute to the game better, as well as enjoy the experience more. I extend my thanks to everybody who's been helping me the most with this; you all know who you are.
