I have been playing AD&D for about 20 years. I started with 1st edition and occasionally used 2nd and 3rd edition rules. I have been both DM and player. Typically I favor playing evil characters and with 1st edition and 2nd edition, played a lot of Drow characters. I also enjoying playing dwarves. Mostly I play spell caster classes. I've always been a Planescape fan and it shows in the campaigns I run.
I enjoy more designing and DMing modules. I ran a campaign revolving around the Abyss on Sundays for about 3 years. I got very lucky by having an incrediably talented group of players on my Sunday campaign. They took the campaign in whole new directions that I never invisioned!
I have made a couple modules posted on the Vault: White Plume Mountain & VA1: Gates of the Abyss.
I have had the pleasure of co-dming campaigns with DM_Kadarr and Hussie. Both great DMs and storytellers.
Now I am running a campaign based on Dark Heresy, set in the Warhammer 40k universe where the players take on the role of an acoytle of the Inquistion. Once again, I got lucky and have a fantastic group of players. This started a 4 sesion campaign that has been running over a year now.
I spend a lot of time designing my modules and preparing for the game. Hence, I expect players to be on time so we can start the game on time. I enjoy players who enjoy role-playing. One of my pet peeves is players who run through a module. I manage to find ways to slow them down, most of the time, not so good for the player!
Its the players that make a campaign sucessful. Good role-playing comes from interacting with each other and less from the DM. The DM is the storyteller and scene seter, but it is the players who truly bring it alive.
I believe the game should be fun and entertaining for all involved. I am always open to suggestions and love feedback. So feel free to give it!
