Norin is the 2nd son of a Dwarven mining "merchant prince" from the hills of Khazad-Khelded-Barak. Norin however is not interested in the family business and has many disputes with his father and uncles about his prospects for the future. Finally at long last Norin left his ancestoral home to see the wider world. The straw that broke the camels back was when Norin was refused permission to engage an Elvish tutor. Norin oft wears a black cloak and despite his less than steller looks - considers himself a stylish dresser.
