Hi all,
I'm advertising for a co-DM for my Wednesday evening GMT (~8pm -> ~11:45pm UK time) campaign entitled "Astrologos".
Astrologos is a science-fantasy campaign set in the world of the United Planes - a near-galaxy-wide constitutional republic. (Planes = planets in this setting.) We have voidships (spaceships), astral fold and mana relay communications (inc. internet and holographic comms), liquid and solid-state arcano-computing. In other words, many modern-day items find their fantastic, arcanely-powered equivalents (arcane-powered vibrating toothbrush, anyone?).
This setting plays host to an intricate, conspiratorial and epic plot touching on many themes and issues throughout both the overarching storyline and the individual episodic stories. As a student of philosophy (currently studying for his BA at Oxford Uni.) I like to instil the plots and issues at hand in my campaigns with a certain degree of weight - and Astrologos is perhaps the most seriously crafted tale I've yet engaged in telling.
The co-DM will be responsible mainly for playing minor/flavour NPCs, and otherwise bringing the backdrops of the world to life. In addition to this, the co-DM will also play (permanently) a quotia of main plot NPCs. Finally, the co-DM will be able to contribute in the planning of both game-design and narrative, by both assisting me in so doing, and also having the opportunity to create their own episode plotlines and settings for the PCs to experience (potentially even letting me play for a session!).
