Ok. I have some area's made...Need to block off some areas...Blah blah blah. I want to run a live session on the 22nd of this month. It should only take about 2-2 1/2 hours (I'm hoping). I have never done this before but I have been DMing PnP for about 16 years and I really want to try this out.

So, first off, let me say that I would LOVE to get a DM with experiance at doing this to come along for the ride to help learn me the ropes and second, I would like to get some players to come along and help me get a feel for this. Knowing of course that it will be a slow session but for a good reason of creating a mad-man for a DM . Please post back to let me know if you would be interested.

By the way, once I get a voulenteer DM to help me out, I will then post the game on the calendar. Thanks all!!!!

You should specify if this is for NWN or NWN2.

Wow...I just skipped right past that part, didn't I? Lol. Good point, thank you. It will be for NWN 1. Thanks again

You don't need a helper, just jump in and do it. Best way to learn. The DMFI 101 mod on the vault is a great start too.

Grab the DM Guide too.

I would suggest starting off with a simple adventure that gives the players many choices, and allows them to roleplay freely. Something morally ambiguous, perhaps.

Also, make sure you have a world where there's not only one way of solving your plot.

But I think you should schedule a short adventure (perhaps a dungeon crawler) for one session and have fun with only 3-4 players. If you advertise it as a call for help, and you make it about everyone being there for you to learn to use the interface, I'm not so sure people will be interested. It's a game and they want to have fun. There are quite a few new players, who just like you, are experienced PnPers.

When I first started, I took a module I had played by myself in single player, deleted all the conversations and scripted sequences and ran it myself (Long Live The King was the module). I got so into it, that it became a soap opera of a campaign.

Before you run it for players, play in DM mode by yourself and figure out how to do anything you might need to do. For example jumping from NPC to NPC with a click of a slotted shortcut (or in my case F7)
