A couple of things to check: 1. Does the module use haks? If so, they'll need to be in the hak folder. 2. Is the server the same version as the module being loaded? If you're using a module made with the 1.68 patch, you'll need the stand-alone server that uses the same patch. You can get the latest version here: http://nwn.bioware.com/support/patch_standalone_win.html

Ive tried modules that require hacks, and had them in place, thinking that i tried a module without haks, same issue, ive re-installed 5 times now, ive checked the version and its the latest. Its a brand new fresh install, but iam confused by a post on the nwn forums saying i need to copy gigs worth of files from my personal game, onto the server. is this true :/ EDIT : Oh sorry i should also mention, that this is a linux install, and yes all the cases are correct, the fixinstall file has been run, and gives the ok, and the permissions are set, as mentioned the server loads fine, but no module will load.

The server requires the same haks that the module uses to load it. Basically, if you can run it in the single player/dm client, then the stand alone server can run it. Load up and run one of the pre-packaged campaigns and see if that works. If it does, then you'll need to copy the haks needed for the module to the hak folder where the server is located. If that doesn't work, then I suggest you visit the Bioware forums for answers on running the Linux version.

Actually the error turned out to be, because i was using winSCP it wasnt automatically uploading files in the correct format, all i needed to do was re-upload the module files in binary format.
